TASTING NOTE :

The MUSCAT MAS AMIEL, a pale gold colour with green hues complements the bouquet of verbena and citrus. The attack shows bright acidity and the flavours of ripe lemon and bergamot. This wine combines freshness, minerality and remarkable finesse.

FOOD PAIRING:

Great for an aperitif, it can surprise in savoury pairings like marinated salmon or scallop carpaccio. It will beautifully complement pear charlotte and white fruit sorbets.

TERROIR AND VINE MANAGEMENT:

Vineyard farmed 100% biodynamically. From a plot composed with stony topsoil over shale bedrock in the Deveze area. Shallow soils, with bedrock only 60–80 cm below surface. Southern exposure.

Soils are ploughed and compost is applied between the rows.
Age of the vines: 10 to 25 years. Average yield :18 hectolitres per hectare with a density of 4 000 vines per hectare.

GRAPE VARIETIES:

80% Muscat Petit Grain, 20% Muscat d'Alexandrie.

HARVEST:

Manual in the first two weeks of September. The bunches sorted twice manually on a belt and vibrating table. The fruit pressed directly. Potential alcohol content 15 to 16 %.

WINEMAKING :

Made in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats. Special care is taken to prevent any form of oxidation. Alcoholic fermentation at 18° C. Halfway through, extra alcohol is added (mutage) to the must.

MATURATIONAND BOTTLING:

Aged on the lees in tanks for 6 months.
